Riders struggling with the heat

Riders struggling with the heat in Andalusia. 30 degrees Celsius and more on the route. There is not much shadow and the gravel is reflecting the heat.

At the “Alto Sierra de las Yeguas”

Olivier and Irena passed the “Alto Sierra de las Yeguas” this early morning. An amazing landscape and when you look back, you see the snow covered Pico del Veleta.

Olivier 1st at CP5

Olivier took over the lead and arrived as first rider at CP5 Granada.

This morning just after CP4: After Irena rode into thorns yesterday, slowely airloss on both tyres.

Can you see the rider?

Ondřej this morning on one of these breathtaking sections. This one is new and first time part of the Iberica-Traversa. Ondřej also run into the thornes and had to carry his bike for about 7km yesterday.

All riders passed the 1000km mark

All riders passed the 1000km mark and have less then 670km to go for Tarifa.

Olivier yesterday in the planes a few km before cp3, halfway.

I have a puncture

Message from Irena:
“I have a puncture – thousands of thorns inside both tyres….ufff”

Looks like she could fix it and is after one hour unwanted rest for the repair back on the bike.

Christopher scratched

We got the message from Christopher Larraz that he scratched from the race. The spanish dirt paths did not well to his body. Christopher will try to reach Tarifa on nearby to the route roads.
