Riders will depart from Checkpoint Pamplona, heading south across hills on winding gravel roads. As they continue, they will pass through Carcastillo, a town situated at the entrance to the Bardenas Reales, where Checkpoint 2 awaits.

At kilometer 100 from the starting point, riders will reach checkpoint 1 which is the Fort San Cristóbal located above Pamplona. This location offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the city. The fort was built between 1879 and 1919 during the Carlist War and from 1930 onwards, it served as a prison.

Starting point of the Iberica Traversa is in the heart of Irun. The adventure begins through the ancient Basque Country hills. Both routes follow cycling paths and old railroads. We ascend to CP1 in Pamplona, the historical fort located on the top of Mount San Cristobal, 892.8 m above sea level.

The sunset in the Bardenas Reales!

Both groups of riders will share the first checkpoint in Pamplona at km 100.

The Bardenas Reales will serve as the second checkpoint for the gravel route only. The fastest riders will reach it on the first day, before sunset.

Explore two continents in one ride!

The next edition of the Iberica-Traversa gravel & trails route starts on 24th September.

Starting in Irun, the riders will take the challenge of traversing the entire Iberian Peninsula, mostly off-road!

Covering a distance of 1723km and 30,000 meters of climbing, the riders will encounter 12 mandatory checkpoints spread along the route.

To extend the adventure beyond the Iberian Peninsula you can join the Morocco-BikeAdventure and continue through the Riff and Atlas mountains all the way to the Sahara desert, ultimately reaching Sidi Ifni by the Atlantic Ocean.

Epic opportunity for those seeking a longer adventurous experience.

The second edition of the Iberica Traversa road route will start on September 25th.

The route is 1812km long with about 27,325m of elevation gain. With the highest climb to the top of Pico del Veleta (3,398m).

11 mandatory checkpoints: Pamplona Castle San Cristóbal, Cuenca, Gorafe, Pico del Veleta, Granada, Ronda and more.

Additionally, there is an option to extend the journey from Tarifa to Sidi Ifni in Morocco and continue with the Morocco-BikeAdventure . It`s a fantastic opportunity for those seeking a longer adventurous experience.
